David Lloyd Meridian Spa & Fitness is a premium health and wellness club in Berlin operated by David Lloyd Leisure, one of Europe’s largest fitness and leisure groups. The Berlin branch, located in the Spandau Arcaden, combines spa, fitness, and family facilities in a single upscale environment designed for relaxation and wellbeing.

The club emphasizes holistic wellness, merging modern fitness training with luxurious spa experiences. Members and guests can access indoor and outdoor pools, Finnish and aroma saunas, steam rooms, and specialized relaxation areas. Spa services include massages, facials, and beauty treatments using professional products, while fitness spaces feature cutting-edge equipment and varied classes from yoga to high-intensity workouts. A café-bar and landscaped terraces complement the leisure experience. 

Ownership and Modernization

Originally part of the German Meridian Spa Group, the clubs were acquired in 2020 by British-based David Lloyd Leisure. Following the takeover, all eight German locations—including Berlin—underwent extensive refurbishment with a new design concept, enhanced studios, and upgraded wellness zones. These improvements aimed to elevate comfort and reinforce the brand’s premium positioning. 

Recognition and Reputation

In 2022, the chain received a top “very good” rating from the Deutsches Institut für Service‑Qualität for service quality, praised for its clean, well-equipped facilities and expert staff. While most reviews commend the modern amenities and professional trainers, some customers cite high prices and inconsistent service, yielding an average TrustScore of 3 out of 5.
