Heat It

The road into Dragør wound past old thatched roofs and quiet harbors, the kind of place where the sea air hangs thick even on a still day. I pulled up to Heat It on Møllevej, drawn by the promise of a spot where nature and relaxation blend together. It felt like the right escape after a long week in Copenhagen, just a short drive south.
Inside, the setup was simple and inviting. A changing room led straight to the sauna area, with everything geared toward finding some balance for body and mind. I paid the 200 DKK for my session, which would last about 75 minutes, and settled in for what turned out to be a daily offering here, open every day of the week.
Stepping Into the Heat
The sauna room welcomed me with steady warmth that built as I sat on the wooden bench. Sweat started to bead on my skin after a few minutes, and I let my thoughts drift with the rising temperature. It was a straightforward space, focused on that core experience of heat pulling tension from the muscles.
I thought about how the place aimed to connect wellness with the surrounding nature. Outside, the scenic views of Dragør's landscape peeked through, adding to the calm. No frills, just the essentials: heat, quiet, and time to unwind.
After a good sweat, I moved on, feeling lighter already. The session flowed naturally, without any rush.
The Cold Plunge That Followed
Next came the cold water bath, one of the main draws here. They call them wild baths or ice baths, kept clean with a filter pump and added oxygen. It's an organic way to handle hygiene, without any chemicals or that chlorine smell, which made the water feel fresh and natural.
I eased in, and the chill grabbed hold right away. My breath caught, but after a moment, it turned invigorating, like a reset for the whole system. The setup included a toilet nearby for convenience, keeping things practical during the visit.
Emerging from the cold, I felt that balance they talk about: the contrast between heat and ice leaving me alert yet relaxed. It was a highlight of the trip, tying back to the wellness vibe they foster in this spot.
As I dried off and changed, the session wrapped up neatly in those 75 minutes. Walking back out into Dragør's peaceful streets, I carried that sense of calm with me.
