Stepping onto the floating sauna felt like slipping into a little pocket of calm right in the middle of the city. The stove was already burning when we arrived, filling the wooden room with that clean, comforting heat that only a proper wood-fired sauna has. Through the big windows, the Oslo Fjord looked still and bright, almost unreal.

The best part was the rhythm of it all. heating up until the air shimmered, then pushing open the door and plunging straight into the cold fjord. The shock was intense for a second, but then came this incredible rush of clarity and energy. Climbing back into the warm sauna afterward felt like returning to a sanctuary.
